Lancaster University Management School

LUMS is a diverse school, combining both general and specialist undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes in business, management, accounting, finance and economics, with a large doctoral programme. They also deliver innovative customised executive and leadership education for large organisations around the world, in addition to bespoke services for SMEs in England’s North West and beyond.

Campus:

The campus is almost a small town in its own right with shops, banks, restaurants, bars, sports, cultural, religious, social and residential facilities – even a Pre-School Centre – as well as the academic buildings.

More than 3,800 students live at Bailrigg in the University's own accommodation, which includes special rooms for graduate students in the Graduate College. The Graduate College provides high-quality rooms with en-suite facilities and a social environment which is attuned to the needs of mature graduate students. Lancaster University Management School is located towards the south end of the University campus, close to Lancaster House Hotel and Conference Centre.

The University Library

Also on the campus, just a few minutes' walk from the Management School or the Graduate College. It houses over 900,000 items plus CD-ROM and other database systems. The Management School has its own subject librarian who is able to give expert advice to students.

Shopping

The campus has its own supermarket, bakery, bookshop, post office, banks, travel agent, laundrettes and many restaurants, cafés and bars – most of the things you might need if you're living on campus. Yet Lancaster city centre is just a 15-minute bus ride away.

The Sports Centre

Undergraduate degree programmes

The fee for all Management School undergraduate degree programmes for the academic year 2008/9 is £3,150 per year for UK and EU students.
Overseas (non-EU) students

The fee for overseas (non-EU) students for 2008/9 has not yet been confirmed. The fee for 2007 entry was £10,300 per year for non-EU students, if the year is spent studying at Lancaster. This fee may be subject to an increase for 2008.

MBA (Financial Times)
The Financial Times' 2008 Top 100 Global Full-time MBA programmes ranked LUMS 22nd in the world and 4th in the UK – the fifth successive year that LUMS has risen in the table. The Lancaster MBA averages first in the world for value for money over the last three years of the ranking.

Masters (Financial Times)
The Financial Times' 2007 Top 40 European Masters in Management programmes ranked Lancaster's MSc in Management 18th in Europe and 4th in the UK. LUMS rose eight places, the highest mover in the Top 40.
